The ethic of compassion in Christianity is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, who emphasized the importance of loving one's neighbor and showing mercy and kindness to others. Christians are called to emulate the compassion of Jesus by caring for the poor, the sick, and the marginalized, and by showing empathy and understanding towards others. This ethic is reflected in the Golden Rule, which teaches Christians to treat others as they would like to be treated. Ultimately, the ethic of compassion in Christianity is about selflessly serving and caring for others, just as Jesus did. **
